We are seeking a qualified person to join our Music department. Position Purpose Mountain Lake High School is seeking a Vocal Music Teacher for grades 6-12. Essential Functions * Develops and administers vocal music program for grades 6-12 including 6th grade general music, Junior High Choir, and Senior High Choir. * Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to student learning. * Conducts ongoing assessment of student musical learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction through lessons. * Utilizes repertoire of all types of music literature, as appropriate * Plans and directs students in performances outside the classroom * Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance.
