Description: &#8226; Ability to develop positive rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. &#8226; Knowledge of at-risk behaviors and intervention strategies. &#8226; Knowledge of resources and referral systems for students and parents. &#8226; Knowledge of 504 Plans - how to create and monitor them. &#8226; Serves on the Student Assistance Team (SAT). &#8226; Serves as liaison between students, parents and agencies within the community. &#8226; Knowledge of post-secondary planning, and options for students, school to work transition programming, PSEO and AP programs - and the application processes. &#8226; Knowledge of the law as pertaining to schools. &#8226; Works with the Grades 7-12 principal on student registration, master schedule, student schedule changes and production of the student registration guide. &#8226; Works with the Grades 7-12 principal in planning and organizing the ACT, AP and ASVAB testing programs. &#8226; Responsible for maintaining transcripts, grades and student records. Requirements: Minnesota State Certification as School Counselor. Additional licensure preferred. Advisory/Coaching opportunities may be available. Salary: Based on Teachers&#8217; Master Agreement and experience Ogilvie Public Schools operates under a 4-Day School Week Structure with Monday as the common non-school day.
