KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Ability to create/maintain accurate records and tracking systems. * Conflict management and mediation skills. * Demonstrated ability to transfer information into easily understood documents. * Demonstrated attention to detail. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities. * Skill to manage staff in a collaborative, team environment, including effective delegation skill and ability to provide clear direction and support to others, in order to meet expectations from various stakeholders. * Knowledge of continuous improvement model and the ability to apply such standards, utilizing and setting benchmarks in order to improve the quality and efficiencies of department operations. * Knowledge of established policies, protocols and procedures, particularly related to facilities use, scheduling and fees, and the ability to ensure compliance with same. * Knowledge of public relations theories and techniques in promoting, advertising, and informing the public or programs and services * Knowledge of community resources and organizations * Understanding of the trends, developments, needs, and issues faced by seniors * Knowledge of the theories, philosophies, and approaches to senior programming, evaluation, and implementation * Knowledge of facility usage issues and scheduling concepts, * Highly developed written and verbal communication and interaction skills. * Ability to affect positive public relations and reinforce such activities on a local site and District-wide basis. * Excellent recruitment and selection skills and the ability to clearly characterize District and site expectations. * Knowledge and ability to anticipate the skill profiles and new learning required to provide the expected level of service in programming. * Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills including outstanding conflict resolution, responsiveness and follow through. * Knowledge of purchasing practices, procedures, and regulations. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS* * Bachelor's degree in Community Education, Social Work, Human Services or related field related to gerontology * Valid MN Driver&#8217;s license or evidence of equivalent mobility. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS* * Minimum of one year experience directly related to working with seniors. * Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable.
