Full Time Elementary School Art Teacher w/ SEL Component (Social-Emotional Learning)
We currently have an art teacher position at C.E. Jacobson Elementary, working with students in K-6th grade to begin the 2024-2025 school year. The appropriate four-year degree with a license from the Minnesota Department of Education is required. Applicants with art licensure are encouraged to apply. Experience with teaching visual arts and working with elementary students is preferred. Hours will be typical school days, aligned with the Teachers Master Contract. Salary is based upon experience/qualifications
Teaching Responsibilities
* Develop and implement visual arts programming for K-6
* Teaching SEL components through visual arts instruction (examples include teaching self worth, positive thinking, executive function, and self-calming strategies through art)
* Working with grade level teachers to create potential cross-curricular units
* Monitoring inventory and working on supply sourcing
* Creative planning and working with teams to support the SEL needs of students through art
* Other job-related duties as assigned
