DATES & SUMMER HOURS: June 17 - June 28 June 12 - Teacher set-up day June 17 - June 21, Monday thru Friday, 4.5 hours per day; NO SCHOOL on June 19th June 24 - June 28, Monday thru Friday, 4.5 hours per day Lead Teacher hours are 8:45 am - 12:45 pm / Student contact hours are 9:15am - 12:15pm Additional hours during the week of June 10th for set-up and required training. Up to 60 additional hours upon approval for planning and/or coordinating either centerbased ESY or resource ESY & Targeted Services special education supports with the majority of hours completed during months leading up to the summer session. SITES: Elementary ESY Centerbased Sites: Champlin Brooklyn Park Academy, Jefferson Elementary, Ramsey Elementary Elementary Targeted Services & ESY Resource Sites: Andover Elementary, Madison Elementary, Mississippi Elementary, Oxbow Creek Elementary PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and coordinate set-up of ESY specific site/program, including hiring of staff for ESY site/program during the months leading up to ESY session. Attend ESY Building Leader planning and coordination meetings before session in late Spring and over the session. Provide direction, coordination, and supervision of staff during ESY session. Oversee implementation of ESY services provided by ESY licensed and classified staff. Manage day-to-day functions of ESY program. Facilitate positive student behavior by working with students, staff, and families. Complete and submit required district paperwork, including end of ESY session procedures. Sites hosting both Targeted Services and ESY resource programming have responsibilities for planning and coordinating set-up of special education supports for Targeted Services specific site/program, including hiring of special education paraeducator staff for site/program during the months leading up to Targeted Services session. Attend Special Education Building Leader planning and coordination meetings before session in late Spring and over the session. Support students by ensuring Supplementary Aids (accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology) are in place for students; Support and guide paraeducators who support students in classrooms; provide on-site consultation to teachers and paraeducators; Support students who struggle with participating in the classroom. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires ANY current MN Special Ed Teaching License. Must be physically working in the building. This position may be filled immediately after 7 posting days (after: 1/24/24) by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license). (Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.) RATE OF PAY: Payment for this assignment is based upon actual hours worked and contract rates apply to the summer school assignment. All Summer School Teachers will receive the hourly rate of $38.27 in accordance with the working agreement as stated in Article X, Section 6. Teachers will be paid for teaching time plus prep time.
