Nature Preschool Teacher Minneapolis Nature Preschool seeks a preschool teacher to be part of a collaborative team fulfilling the school&#8217;s mission of cultivating the innate curiosity and wonder of young children through nature-based education in Minneapolis. Teachers celebrate and inspire the following values: a sense of wonder, resilience, community/place, and of responsibility, maintaining an awareness of the interconnection among all things, and having an unconditional love for each child. Staff work together to plan developmentally appropriate activities to meet individual and group goals through facilitating emergent learning in a nearly 100% outdoor setting. Teachers will lead both large and small groups throughout the week (1:6 teacher/student ratio), following the interests of children and the changing environment. MNP builds mutually supportive relationships among staff and parents/guardians to foster a positive school community to focus upon the development of young children through nature- and play-based learning. Minimum qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a B.A. or B.S. and teaching experience in Early Childhood Education or related field. All candidates must pass a criminal background check and be free from any history of substantiated child abuse or neglect. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to physically perform the duties of a Lead Teacher.
