6-12 Special Education Teacher, 1.0 FTE Position, 24-25 SY, Cedar Mountain School District Date of Availability: Open for the 2024-2025 school year Date Closing: The position will remain open until filled Cedar Mountain MS/HS has a 1.0 FTE, 6-12 Special Education Teaching position open for the 2024-2025 school year. A valid special education teaching license is required. Job Summary: The certified SpEd teacher works with parents and regular education teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEP) designed to support the growth of students needing additional support through special education services. The teacher also develops lesson plans, conducts classroom instruction, evaluates and assesses both instructional material and student performance. The special education teacher interprets student progress and routinely communicates to parents and the IEP team to share student progress toward their goals, as well as strengths, weaknesses and/or programs. Required Qualifications &#8226;MN Special Education License in SLD, OHI, EBD, or ABS, OR &#8226;Minnesota special education license in another category with ability and willingness to obtain an Out of Field Permission with PELSB.
