Position: Curriculum and Instruction Director
Hours or FTE: 215 Days Starting Date: August 1, 2024
Job Description: The Stewartville Public School District is seeking a passionate and innovative Curriculum and Instruction Director. We are located in Stewartville, MN, fifteen minutes from downtown Rochester and approximately an hour southeast of the Twin Cities. Stewartville is a growing school district of 2,000 students and approximately 275 staff. The Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator will provide leadership and vision in the ongoing planning, implementation, development, direction, review and evaluation of the district’s curriculum and instructional services. The Coordinator ensures that the district educational objectives are aligned to state standards and to instructional practices that yield the highest standards of student achievement and instructional excellence. The Coordinator will communicate and work closely with other administrators and staff to implement and achieve the district’s educational goals. Within the school district, our programming includes Central Education Center for PreK and ECSE, Bonner Elementary for grades K-2, Bear Cave Intermediate for grades 3-5, Middle School for grades 6-8 and High School for grades 9-12. We offer a comprehensive curriculum at each level and have fully integrated a one-to-one technology initiative for grades 3 through 12. Come join our team!
Qualifications/Degree:
1. Classroom teaching/leadership experience, preferably PreK-12.
2. Master’s degree with a teaching degree.
3. Demonstrated experience in planning and program development in curriculum, instruction, and staff development.
4. Excellent oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Beginning Salary Range: Competitive salary and benefits based upon qualifications and experience.
