Do you enjoy interacting with a variety of people? Have great organizational skills and attentive to details? If so, Saint Thomas Academy is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager is responsible for a wide range of financial management including accounting, cash management, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES &#8226; Manage student account billings and related accounting functions, to include tuition revenue reconciliation, tuition billing and reconciliations, grants, and processing payments. &#8226; Analyze and prepare general ledger entries (investment, tuition, and financial aid) and reconcile bank accounts. &#8226; Manage and maintain the Sage Intacct general ledger chart of accounts, user access, and reports. &#8226; Reconcile general ledger accounts quarterly as well as endowment, restricted and unrestricted gifts between systems. &#8226; Prepare and provide materials to support the annual audit. &#8226; Assist in the budgeting process by analyzing YOY trends and finalizing details in SIP/Sage Intacct. &#8226; Manage Ice Arena accounting, including annual audit, 990, bank reconciliation, and ad hoc analysis as needed. &#8226; Manage overall Quartermaster and Cadet Maker store accounting, reporting, and year-end inventory reconciliations. &#8226; Analyze Fixed Asset and Capitalized Lease accounting to determine if items meet capitalization policy, responsible for maintaining fixed asset spreadsheet and depreciation and disposal calculations. &#8226; Monitor short term cash needs and prepare cashflow projections. &#8226; Review and update Internal Controls as needed. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES &#8226; Ad hoc analysis and support for various financial requests/control procedures. &#8226; Attend all STA events, Command Performances, fundraisers, and athletic events, as prescribed by the President. &#8226; Participate in professional growth, in-services, workshops, and staff development opportunities to improve knowledge of subject matter, maintain professional licensure, and improve best practices as required. &#8226; Attend faculty, department, and committee meetings as required. JOB QUALIFICATIONS &#8226; Bachelor&#8217;s degree in accounting or finance (with appropriate accounting experience). &#8226; CPA license (active or inactive) preferred. &#8226; Minimum five years of experience in accounting. &#8226; Two or more years auditing experience or equivalent experience working with auditors. &#8226; Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). &#8226; Proficiency with Excel and working knowledge of other Microsoft products. &#8226; Blackbaud Tuition software knowledge (desired). &#8226; Sage Intacct general ledger software knowledge (desired). &#8226; Familiarity with Raiser&#8217;s Edge or RE NXT, Microsoft Office and/or Google suite. &#8226; Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to perform highly detailed and analytical work.
