Preschool Teacher assistant- float
The teacher assistant in our children’s house is a float position. This role will be responsible for preparing the after care room by setting out cots for nap, assisting with lunch and recess, and supervising nap.

About Oak Hill Montessori Community School
Building on a rich, 60-year legacy, Oak Hill Montessori transitioned to a Public Charter School in 2021 to increase accessibility of an authentic Montessori education. Oak Hill Montessori Community School (OHMCS) is proud to provide a unique point-of-view in education driven by the intrinsic motivation of students. We serve children 16 months through 8th grade with our lower school being tuition based, and upper school being tuition-free.
General Summary of Position: This is a part-time, hourly non-exempt position, Monday-Friday, 10:00-3:30 p.m., throughout the 10-month school year, with the potential option of summer hours.
Prepare and maintain a complete and safe Montessori environment to include the classroom, playground, corridor and other common areas.
Collaborate and support classroom assistants, aides and teachers in their duties and responsibilities.
Set up lunch routine and environment with Montessori principles in mind
Sets up the after-school environment with Montessori principles in mind
Maintains classroom materials, keeping them clean and in good repair
Attend professional development opportunities annually as indicated by a personal growth and development plan.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, or working towards, in early childhood education, psychology, art, music, or related field
Prior successful leadership experience
Strong knowledge of early years learning and development
Experience in a Montessori school environment
Strong passion for working with children
Required Qualifications
Ability to meet Rule 3 assistant teacher standards
Experience working with children
Salary & Benefits: Commensurate with other charter schools of similar scope and size. Hourly wage starting at $18.00/hour.
