JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for providing health care consultation, examination and treatments to students at the Perpich Center for Arts Education. The person in the position will administer medications according to the student&#8217;s medical health care plan and maintain the health care record system. It is important that this individual be able to provide a nurturing, child-friendly environment by employing good listening skills and empathy. Minimum Qualifications * Must have a current MN nursing license (RN or LPN) with no restrictions. * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or ability to obtain certification within the probationary period. * Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parent/guardians from diverse backgrounds. * Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills. * Problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and exercise professional judgment. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of school and health-related issues. * Basic computer skills. Preferred Qualifications * Previous experience working as an LPN in a school setting. * Experience working with students in a residential setting. * Experience working with high school students and students with mental health needs. * Experience working as a team member to develop individual health plans with students.
