LEADERSHIP PROFILE: The Eden Valley - Watkins School Board seeks a superintendent with strong leadership skills who possesses the following:
Presence and Accessibility
Maintains a visible and accessible presence to the School Board, staff, students, parents, and the broader community, ensuring open and continuous communication channels.
Integrity and Ethical Leadership Demonstrates honesty and ethical behavior in all interactions with internal and external groups, while also ensuring transparency.
Financial Knowledge
Possesses experience in school finance, providing informed options and recommendations to the School Board.
Communication and Human Relations Excels in communication and human relations, effectively mediating and accommodating different perspectives, valuing teamwork, and fostering cooperative relationships with all constituents.
Knowledge of Education Laws and Legislative Advocacy
Demonstrates an understanding of both state and federal education laws, stays abreast of legislative changes, and actively engages Eden Valley - Watkins School District in the legislative process to advocate for policies that benefit the school district and its communities.
SALARY/CONTRACT: A compensation package with a salary range of $130,000 - $150,000 for 260 contracted days will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits available may include health insurance, holidays, retirement benefits, vacation days, and other various benefits. Contract length is also negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.
