THIS IS A10-MONTH PER YEAR POSITION - THE SCHEDULE IS BASED ON THE SCHOOL CALENDAR
The position is open for bid and all qualified job seekers simultaneously. The vacancy will be filled with eligible bidders of this agency who are in the Arts School Residence Coordinator classification first. Other qualified applicants will be considered after the list of qualified bidders has been exhausted.

JOB SUMMARY
This position exists to provide daily supervision and guidance for students that live in the residence hall; facilitate evening and weekend activities; promote life skill opportunities; interpret and enforce Perpich residence hall policies; disseminate information to students and parents; and work with campus security and other team members to ensure student safety and wellbeing. Monitor and supervise student activities; promote respect, support diversity, and inclusion, explain social norms and disciplinary consequences, de-escalate personal confrontations, enforce school and dormitory policies and rules of conduct. Monitor students, record data for academic and behavioral assessments, maintain files, keep records of student progress and activities, ensure all required written reports are completed and submitted. Perform other related functions or additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and always maintain confidentiality of students, parents and staff data.
- Ability to effectively communicate and develop rapport with students, staff and parents.
- Ability to work with diverse population of students.
- Basic computer skills sufficient to receive and respond to emails, manage student records and enter data into various systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a dorm setting and/or with high school students.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Associate's Degree in Elementary Education, Childhood Psychology or equivalent.
- Familiarity with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting may be required.
