A Typical Day in the Life&#8230; A typical day as PCYC&#8217;s English Teacher offers the opportunity to create a positive learning environment that facilitates student development and will include the following: * Developing and implementing curriculum that is inclusive of the arts and technology. * Maintaining a school and classroom environment that promotes education and is safe and respectful of all. * Providing coverage in other classrooms as assigned. * Identifying individual student needs and differentiating curriculum as needed. * Ensuring effective and timely feedback for students. * Working with the Educational Leadership Team concerning issues of student achievement, behavior, attendance, and/or suspension consistent with PYC policies and procedures. * Collaborating with the Educational Leadership Team and peers to plan, develop, and implement best practices based on the needs and abilities of the students. * Maintaining thorough and continued awareness and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP), 504 Plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). * Accurately completing attendance records and incident reports. * Who You Are * Bachelor&#8217;s degree required, master&#8217;s degree preferred. * Background or degree in English with the ability and motivation to pursue tiered licensure. * Previous teaching experience preferred. * Able to relate effectively and positively with adults and youth from diverse social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds. * Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. * Adept at both verbal and written communication on an interpersonal or group level. * Ability to teach the required curricula. * High level of competence in computer applications. * Skilled at prioritizing work with multiple competing demands. * Valid Minnesota Secondary Teaching License for English, certificate or other legal credentials required for level of assignment or ability to be waivered by the Minnesota Department of Education. * Valid driver&#8217;s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet PCYC&#8217;s driving record requirements. A Typical Day in the Life…

A typical day as PCYC’s English Teacher offers the opportunity to create a positive learning environment that facilitates student development and will include the following:
