This position starts on February 12, 2024, and runs through mid-May 2025. ________________________________ Position Details Schedule/Location: * Full-time, Monday through Friday * Located at the Delano Community Education Center (140 Elm Ave E, Delano, MN) ________________________________ Program Overview DPS Preschool focuses on play-based learning to prepare children for kindergarten through the use of Creative Curriculum. Key aspects of our program include: * Assessing student progress using Teaching Strategies Gold and conducting two parent-teacher conferences annually. * Strong collaboration with the Delano Elementary School to align curriculum and training within a Pre-K through Grade 3 (P-3) model. * Partnering with Tiger Kids Club to provide cohesive preschool programming with wraparound care for students. ________________________________ Responsibilities * Plan and deliver daily preschool curriculum aligned with Creative Curriculum and the DPS Preschool mission. * Lead a classroom of up to 18 students while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. * Communicate effectively with families and colleagues to support student success. * Build strong, nurturing relationships with preschool-aged children. * Maintain a well-organized, welcoming classroom environment that aligns with Creative Curriculum. * Perform other duties as assigned. ________________________________ Qualifications * Preferred: Current Minnesota teaching license in Early Childhood (Birth-3rd), Elementary Education (K-6), or a related field. * At least one year of relevant experience is preferred but not required. * Knowledgeable in child development and best practices in early childhood education. * Warm, approachable demeanor with a passion for teaching young children. * Highly motivated, self-directed individuals with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. ________________________________ Salary/Benefits * Seperate compensation rates for the 2 positions.
