Position: Supervisory Paraprofessional - Recess Rate: $21.19 - $22.87 per hour per the 2023-25 Paraprofessional Agreement Hours: 2.5 hrs per day, Monday - Friday Student Contact Days The successful candidate will be able to effectively accomplish the below job duties: * Active supervision during Indoor/outdoor recess and inside the cafeteria for students K-4. * Ability to be outside in all types of weather conditions including snow, rain, and sleet. * Enjoys working with children; able to build relationships and mediate conflict. * Part of a team of three; able to communicate and collaborate with adults. * Monitoring student behavior; peer mediation and problem resolution. * Encourages students to observe considerate and safe behavior. * Reports all incidents of unacceptable student behavior to the principal. * Keeping the principal informed of unacceptable student behavior or impending student behavior problems. * Monitors all assigned areas of responsibility. * Attending all meetings as assigned by principal. * Performing work assigned to accomplish the objectives of the total school program. * Patience, experience with student mediation preferred. * This position works with a large number of children.
