Middle/High Social Studies Teacher, 1.0 FTE, 25-26 SY - Cedar Mountain School District Location: Cedar Mountain School District - Middle/High School located in Morgan, MN Employment Type: Full-Time Start Date: 25-26 School Year About Us: Cedar Mountain School District is a small, close-knit rural school district dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive educational environment where each and every learner can thrive. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle/High School Social Studies Teacher to join our team and inspire the next generation of learners. Job Responsibilities: * Develop and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans aligned with state standards for middle/high school social studies. * Foster critical thinking, historical inquiry, and a global perspective in students. * Create a classroom environment that promotes cultural understanding, equity, and collaboration. * Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure success. * Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to enhance student learning and community engagement. * Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enrich the curriculum. * Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school&#8217;s mission and goals. Qualifications: * Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Education, History, or a related field (Master&#8217;s degree preferred). * Valid PELSB teaching certification in Social Studies or related subject area for middle school OR eligibility to obtain certification. * Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Passion for teaching and a desire to make a positive impact on students&#8217; lives. * Experience teaching in a rural setting is a plus but not required.
