Job Description:
The Ortonville School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our team. Multiple licensing areas will be accepted and considered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality instruction in accordance with students' IEPs..
* Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Maintain an organized and safe classroom space.
* Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure students on your caseload are receiving high quality instruction.
* Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, and a valid Minnesota teaching license in Art/ability to obtain a Tiered License.
* Experience teaching or working with students in an educational setting is preferred..
* Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
* Ability to engage and inspire students of all skill levels.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
