Job Title: Full-Time High School English Teacher School Year: 2025-2026 Location: Cedar Mountain MS/HS About Us: Cedar Mountain MS/HS is a small, close-knit school located in a beautiful rural setting. Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and innovative High School English Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for literature, language, and critical thinking while tailoring instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. This is a full-time position with responsibilities for teaching English courses across grades 9-12. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in English language arts, including literature, writing, grammar, and speaking skills. * Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and active participation. * Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth. * Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and implement best practices in instruction. * Participate in school activities, committees, and professional development opportunities. * Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student success. * Uphold the values and mission of Cedar Mountain MS/HS and contribute to a positive school culture. Qualifications: * Bachelor&#8217;s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master&#8217;s degree preferred). * Valid teaching license in English Language Arts for grades 9-12 (or eligibility to obtain licensure in our state). * Strong knowledge of English language arts standards, pedagogy, and instructional strategies. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. * Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience teaching in a rural school district or similar setting. * Familiarity with differentiated instruction and strategies to support diverse learners. * Enthusiasm for contributing to extracurricular activities or coaching opportunities.
