Position Title: Full-Time High School Science Teacher School Year: 2025-2026 Location: Cedar Mountain MS/HS, Morgan, MN About Us: Cedar Mountain MS/HS is a vibrant, student-centered school nestled in a close-knit rural community. Our small class sizes allow for individualized attention and meaningful connections with students, staff, and families. Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated High School Science Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for science education, the ability to inspire curiosity and critical thinking, and the flexibility to teach a range of science courses. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of students in a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned science lessons for grades 9-12. * Teach a variety of science courses, which may include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, and/or electives. * Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of all learners. * Utilize innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance student learning. * Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments. * Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and share best practices. * Participate in professional development, school events, and extracurricular activities as needed. * Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student success. Qualifications: * Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Science Education or a related field (Master&#8217;s degree preferred). * Valid state teaching license with a science endorsement (or ability to obtain prior to the start date). * Strong knowledge of high school science content and pedagogy. * Effective classroom management and communication skills. * Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration. * Experience in a rural school setting is a plus, but not required.
