Special Educational Assistant Position, Full Time (1.0 FTE) - Hennepin Schools
Hennepin Schools is looking for a compassionate, organized, and outgoing professional who is interested in working with children with special needs and whose goal is to help special needs children reach their full potential. This individual will work closely with parents and teachers to help students of all ages reach their goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping students understand the curriculum, as well as encouraging and supporting them in engaging in creative playtime.

Responsibilities:
* Assist teachers with general teaching duties in a school setting.
* Assist teachers with special education needs in a primary/secondary school.
* Help students overcome learning and behavioral problems.
* Help students with academic tasks and homework.
* Aid students to overcome emotional problems and social difficulties.
* Arrange and coordinate student activities, including recreational and social programs.
* Ensure that the classroom is organized and ready for the next teaching session.
* Assist the teacher in monitoring students' academic progress.
