St. Pascal Regional Catholic School is located on the east side of St. Paul. We are looking for a qualified candidate to teach 5th-8th Religion, and 6th-8th Social Studies. We are looking for a teacher who loves working with middle school age kids and who is a team player. Purpose of Position
To provide instructional classes in all assigned subjects in accordance with the school/parish mission statements, guiding principles, philosophy, handbooks, curriculum, and directions established by the principal, assistant principal, president, and pastor. We are looking for candidates, who are mission driven, attentive to results and have a strong calling to serve in a faith-filled urban school.
General Responsibilities
Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular employment. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. Their behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, such that it can embarrass the Church or give rise to scandal. This position does not require the employee be a Catholic. It is expected that all employees respect Catholic doctrine and religious practices. Teachers will be required to teach adopted Catholic Religion Curriculum, which includes PCYI curriculum, leading daily prayer and supervision at mass. Reasonable accommodation for the religious practice of employees not of the Catholic faith will be provided.

Salary Range: $36,300 - $80,000 annually
Starting salary is determined by the candidate's teaching experience and education level
Ascension Catholic Academy follows a structured step-and-lane salary schedule similar to public school. The final compensation package will be based on verified teaching experience and educational credentials.

Position Qualifications:
BA/BS degree with appropriate educational experiences
Proficient in technology skills (Internet, Microsoft Office, grading programs)
Demonstrates good classroom management techniques
Exhibits competence in age-appropriate instructional methods
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive collegial atmosphere
Duties and Responsibilities:
Differentiate instruction, write learning objectives, and support ELL students
Actively participate in faculty meetings and learning teams
Implement new educational strategies and follow administrative directives
Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community
Support and uphold Catholic School Mission and Philosophy

Physical Requirements
Ability to work a full-time schedule of 40+ hours per week
Capable of sustained movement throughout classroom and school environments
Must communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, and administrators
Able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks required in an educational setting
Requires full sensory awareness and mobility to effectively perform teaching duties
