Position Details
The position offers a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, with comprehensive Spanish language instruction spanning from PreK through 8th grade. In addition to core language teaching responsibilities, the selected educator will develop and lead one middle school elective unit, with opportunities to explore engaging areas such as art, technology, wellness, or social-emotional learning. General Responsibilities
Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular employment. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. Their behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, such that it can embarrass the Church or give rise to scandal. This position does not require the employee be a Catholic. It is expected that all employees respect Catholic doctrine and religious practices. Teachers will be required to teach adopted Catholic Religion Curriculum, which includes PCYI curriculum, leading daily prayer and supervision at mass. Reasonable accommodation for the religious practice of employees not of the Catholic faith will be provided.

Ascension Catholic Academy follows a structured step-and-lane salary schedule similar to public school. The final compensation package will be based on verified teaching experience and educational credentials.

* Spanish language proficiency (for language instruction)

* Able to attend school-related activities such as graduation, Christmas program, Holy Name St. Patrick’s party, and any other programs deemed necessary by the principal and/or assistant principal
