SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAPROFESSIONAL Rochester Beacon Academy is seeking a full-time Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. As a public charter school, Rochester Beacon Academy serves students in grades 6-12 and our SOAR 18-22 year old transition program with varying needs. Rochester Beacon Academy&#8217;s students and staff provide a welcoming community and are dedicated to the differentiated needs of all students. Your job responsibilities includes but are not limited to: * Work in collaboration with teachers to assist with IEP modifications and accommodations * Supervise student activities such as lunch, recess, and assemblies * Support students when they are dysregulated * Work with students when they need breaks * Assist teachers with implementation of IEP modifications, accommodations, and BIP&#8217;s * Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere * Communicate with parents regarding student behavior, grades, and other matters * Data collection and tracking of students progress related to IEP goals * Assist in monitoring supplementary work and one to one activities * Assist students with physical needs Qualifications: * Must be 18 years of age * Experience with middle/high school students preferred * Experience working with students with special needs preferred * Strong communication and collaboration skills Schedule: * This position is a 1.0 FTE * Benefits are included * Full time * 8 hours shift (Monday-Friday) Pay: $21.25 Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Retirement plan * Vision insurance Please send resume and letter of interest to Rochester Beacon Academy&#8217;s Executive Director, Beth Bruns at Beth.bruns@rochesterbeaconacademy.org<mailto:Beth.bruns@rochesterbeaconacademy.org> Rochester Beacon Academy 974 Skyline Drive Rochester, MN 55902 507-258-5351
