Work Schedule: 8 hours/day, 194 duty days

Required Qualifications:
* Valid MN teaching licensure as a School Psychologist
* Knowledgeable about special education due process procedures and criteria
* Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team
Desired Qualifications:
* Past school experience evaluating students with disabilities and working with them
* Ability to counsel individuals and small groups
* Computer proficiency
Responsibilities:
* Assist school staff in identification of students with disabilities preschool through high school graduation (21 yrs.) and in planning appropriate evaluation and reevaluation procedures for individual students.
* Administer intellectual, psychosocial, adaptive behavior, and other psychological assessments, including standardized tests and other procedures, to determine Special Education eligibility. Provide written and oral evaluation reports to professionals and parents based upon evaluation results.
* Design and complete behavior and ecological observation/data collection systems, effective student management, intervention techniques, ecological interventions in school and community environments that are compatible with student needs.
* Assist in the coordination of services in order to facilitate the collaboration of school, home and community services for students and families.
* Participate in evaluation teams, pupil needs committees, and IEP teams.
* Provide consultation to staff and parents about the educational needs of students and strategies for improving instructional and learning environments.
* Suggest and, if needed, develop pre-referral intervention strategies to maintain students in regular education programs when possible.
* Provide psychological support services to individual students or groups of students as identified on IEPs.
* Participate in in-service training on evaluation, educational planning, and other pupil needs and due process related issues.
* Assist in school district projects or special activities that require consultation and/or direct services of a school psychologist.
* Other related duties as assigned.
