Position Type: Teacher of the Visually Impaired
Location: Zumbro Education District Office (Kasson, MN)
Work day/Year: Full time per the regular teacher contract

About Zumbro Education District: ZED is an education district made up of six member districts that offer, among other things, special education services and programming. The ZED Special Education Teacher may work with students grades 6-12 who have demonstrated behavioral and academic difficulties and may require more structured and focused programming. Job responsibilities often include: managing a caseload of special education students, ensuring special education student needs are met per their Individual Education Plans (IEPs), maintaining all due process compliance including IEPs/evaluation reports and providing specialized instruction to qualifying students. **ZED has opened a newly 61,000 square foot constructed building for all programs in Kasson (MN) starting in the 2022-23 school year.
Required qualifications: Must be currently licensed by MDE in a special education teaching area. For a complete list of duties, please see the job description attached.
