Job Title: Part-Time Physical Education/Health Teacher Location: St. Edward School, Minneota, Minnesota Employment Type: Part-Time (2025&#8211;2026 School Year) Start Date: August 11, 2025 About Us: We are a PreK-8 Catholic school located in the southwestern corner of Minnesota. We educate students attending preschool through 8th grade utilizing multi-level education models. We are seeking a committed and faith-filled Physical Education/Health Teacher to join our team and help students develop healthy habits and an appreciation for physical wellness within a values-based environment. ________________________________ Position Summary: The Physical Education/Health Teacher will teach engaging, age-appropriate lessons to students in grades PreK&#8211;8. This part-time position is ideal for a passionate educator who can foster a love of movement, fitness, and health in a Christ-centered school environment. ________________________________ Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in physical education and health to students in grades PreK&#8211;8. * Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits. * Incorporate Catholic values and character education into teaching. * Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. * Communicate with families and staff to support student development. * Track student progress and maintain accurate records. ________________________________ Required Qualifications: * Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Physical Education, Health, or a related field. * Knowledge of the Minnesota K&#8211;12 Academic Standards for Physical Education and Health or a willingness to learn. * Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. * Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. ________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: * Valid Minnesota teaching license in Physical Education (710) and Health (080), or eligibility for licensure through the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB). * Experience teaching in a PreK&#8211;8 setting. * Practicing Catholic in good standing (preferred but not required). * Ability to integrate faith and moral development into instruction. ________________________________ Schedule & Compensation: * Part-time: Five days per week/half days.
