Position: Student Systems Secretary - Grade V
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 hrs/day, 12 month
Pay: Starting pay is $19.91 - $22.62 per hour dependent on qualifications

Summary:
The Student Systems Secretary performs Registrar functions and provides software support building-wide.
Required Qualifications:
* Associate’s degree or equivalent (48 college semester credits or two years experience)
* Keyboarding speed of 50 wpm
* Minimum of three years of relevant experience
* Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
* Advanced computer skills including word processing, database, budgeting, and spreadsheet programs
* Experience working with budgets and utilizing bookkeeping/accounting skills
* Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
* Highly organized and flexible
* Skilled in prioritizing tasks, multi-tasking, and record-keeping
* Self-motivated with the ability to function with minimal supervision
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
* Prior experience working with MS Access
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide customer service and instruction to staff, teaching staff, and the public about the District’s student information system as needed
* Update and publish the registration manual annually
* Organize and manage student online registration
* Enroll new students and carry out all enrollment changes and updates in the District’s student information system
* Validate and/or correct student data in the District’s student information system
* Enter missing and/or late student data in the District’s student information system
* Design, construct, and maintain the master schedule for teachers and students in the District’s student information system
* Coordinate and adjust special education and ESL scheduling issues with the Student Services department
* Update the District’s student information system’s scheduler functions annually, including necessary data entry
* Coordinate room rearrangements and staff changes in the District’s student information system
* Create new courses and sections in the District’s student information system
* Troubleshoot and problem-solve software-related issues as necessary – including the District’s student information system
* Develop reports for the building, District, and State based on queries through the ad-hoc interface and provide necessary data analysis
* Provide detailed lists of students/staff/courses based on specific parameters
* Coordinate and strategize with administration and other District staff on student information-related projects
* Conduct plausibility studies for potential programs
* Other duties as assigned
