High School Science - Metro Schools College Prep

Metro Schools College Prep is seeking a passionate and dedicated high school Biology teacher to join our team. As a public charter school, we are committed to providing our diverse student population with a high-quality education that prepares them for college and beyond. As a school, we work every day to improve our students&#8217; chances to attend the college or university of their choice, and to help them become global citizens. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, flexible, and have a passion for teaching Biology to high school students. Our school serves a diverse population, approximately 90% being English Language (EL) students, and 99% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. As such, we are looking for a teacher who is culturally responsive, holds high expectations for all students, and works hard to meet the unique needs of our students. Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging and rigorous science lessons for high school students * Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners * Use data to drive instruction and monitor student progress * Collaborate with colleagues to ensure student success * Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Physical Science, Earth Science or related field * Minnesota teaching license in Science (or ability to obtain) * Experience working with diverse student populations * Strong classroom management skills * Commitment to academic excellence and college readiness for all students If you are a dedicated and passionate individual who is committed to helping all students succeed, we encourage you to apply for this position.
