Metro Schools College Prep is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education teacher for our middle and high school students. As a public charter school, we are committed to providing our diverse student population with a high-quality education that prepares them for college and beyond. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, flexible, and have a passion for teaching PE to high school and middle school students. Our school serves a diverse population, approximately 90% being English Language (EL) students, and 99% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. As such, we are looking for a teacher who is culturally responsive, holds high expectations for all students, and works hard to meet the unique needs of our students. Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons for high school and middle school students * Create opportunities for students to experience a variety of sports and activities in PE * Help teach students about healthy choices and lifestyles * Collaborate with colleagues to ensure student success * Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field * Minnesota teaching license in Physical education (or ability to obtain) * Experience working with diverse student populations * Strong classroom management skills * Commitment to academic excellence and college readiness for all students If you are a dedicated and passionate individual who is committed to helping all students succeed, we encourage you to apply for this position.
