SET Academy, a public charter school in North Minneapolis, is seeking passionate and dedicated K-5 Elementary Teachers to join our team. At SET Academy, we are committed to accelerating student learning and equipping our scholars for long-term success. About Us
SET Academy serves a diverse student population, with approximately 90% English Language Learners (ELL) and 99% of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch. We are looking for educators who are culturally responsive, maintain high expectations for all students, and are dedicated to meeting the unique needs of our learners.
Responsibilities
- Develop engaging lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Implement curriculum aligned with state standards and educational goals.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
- Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and support staff to enhance student success.
- Participate in professional development to refine teaching practices and stay current with best educational strategies.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to curriculum planning and student assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid Minnesota teaching license for grades K-5 (or ability to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Experience or training in best practices for teaching English Language Learners.
