Ulen-Hitterdal School District is currently seeking applications for the position of: 7th-12th Grade Science Teacher Job Overview: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated 7th-12th Grade Science Teacher to join our growing team for the 2025-2026 school year. With our increasing enrollment, we need an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students in the exploration of scientific concepts. This position will involve teaching a variety of science courses to middle and high school students, providing hands-on learning experiences, and fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that helps all students reach their academic potential. This position will remain open until filled. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): * Develop and implement engaging and standards-based lesson plans for science courses, including but not limited to biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science. * Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment where students feel valued and supported in their learning. * Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in both individual and group settings. * Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to support student success across the curriculum. * Monitor student progress through assessments, projects, and other evaluations, adjusting instruction as necessary to meet individual needs. * Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress, concerns, and achievements. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, behavior, and other relevant information. * Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and faculty meetings to contribute to the school community. Qualifications: * Valid Minnesota teaching license in Science (grades 7-12) or the ability to obtain licensure (preferred). * A strong passion for teaching and a deep understanding of scientific concepts across multiple disciplines. * Experience or a commitment to working with middle and high school students in an educational setting. * Ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans for students with varying levels of ability. * Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
