Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to teach 7th and 8th grade Theater Class.
* Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
* Communicates regularly with parents via Schoology, newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, conferences, etc.
* Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors.
* Participating in building and department meetings and workshops in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices.
* Participates in a professional learning community on a regular basis.
* Integration of technology into instruction.
* Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Demonstrated ability to apply appropriate skills in performing daily routines.
* Demonstrated ability to operate necessary classroom technology.
* Ability to develop effective and positive working relationships with students, staff, administrators, parents and the community.
* Maintain professional composure while dealing with a variety of personalities and situations.
* Show initiative and function as a self-starter.
* Effectively communicate and have interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor and the community
