PRINCIPAL SECONDARY SCHOOL POSITION STATUS: Full-time START DATE: 2025-2026 School Year COMPENSATION: Salary: $99,000-120,000 Per Year BENEFITS: Health Insurance, Dental Coverage, Paid Time Off (PTO), TRA or PERA Contributions, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and access to a range of additional benefits, such as short-term disability and accident insurance. ABOUT NORTH LAKES ACADEMY: Serving the Forest Lake and surrounding areas since 1999, North Lakes Academy provides a personalized learning environment designed to meet a wide variety of academic needs. With strong core subjects and a full complement of liberal arts courses, NLA provides quality learning in a responsive learning atmosphere. Currently, we operate an elementary campus (grades K-6) and a secondary campus (grades 7-12) both in Forest Lake, serving a total of 460 students; 244 attend the 7-12 campus. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: MN Principal License PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * 2 years as a secondary Principal * 5 or more years as a teacher in one or more secondary grades * Charter school experience * Special education experience (teacher, para, or parent) JOB Responsibilities: Experienced Principal wanted to lead our secondary school, grades 7-12, to continue developing its instructional practices, curriculum, assessments, and professional development. The position reports to the Executive Director. The primary duties are managing the daily operations of a high school, supervising staff, ensuring student success, and leading the school's improvement effort. The Principal is expected to be visible and engaged at a variety of afternoon and evening events, build strong relationships with families, staff, and students. The Principal is expected to play a strong role in recruitment and retention of staff and students. The Principal is expected to champion our Huskies United efforts which include meaningful collaboration between NLA&#8217;s two buildings, both instructionally and collegially. North Lakes Academy 7-12 Campus Profile The 7-12 Campus of North Lakes Academy has around 250 students, with a growing enrollment, especially in 7th and 8th grades. NLA&#8217;s 7-12 Campus is known for having a strong culture of belonging. NLA students, staff, and families are full of Husky Pride.
