Torah Academy is a unique private school known for its strong community involvement and commitment to excellence. The school offers a dual curriculum, with students spending half of their day in General Studies and the other half in Judaic Studies. The 2025-26 5th grade class size will be 19 students. For the past 80 years, Torah Academy has served the Orthodox Jewish community, currently enrolling over 300 students from Early Childhood through 8th grade. While the school is rooted in Jewish tradition, applicants of all backgrounds are welcome. This position can be a .5 FTE or a 1.0 FTE. Unique opportunities at Torah Academy * Approximately 175 working days. * 3 long breaks each school year (6-9 school days off for each). Two are for holidays and one is mid-winter break. * Friday&#8217;s are either a 2:15 or 1:30 dismissal for most of the school year. * Safe school environment with a focus on traditional education * No cell phones Under the direction of the principal, elementary school teachers: * Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula/learning targets based on the MN Academic Standards * Select and suggest materials and supplies to implement lessons * Use a variety of formal and summative assessments to evaluate and record student growth in an organized and timely manner * Maintain a high level of rigor that has been established. * Maintain student attendance records, grades, and parent emails in a timely manner * Adhere to the mission statement of Torah Academy and demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural background and differing perspectives the learners bring to Torah Academy.
