A fast-growing school district located near the banks of Lake Waconia and approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis, Waconia Public Schools serves 4,000 students and their families from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius, and New Germany. School District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12). Position Description: Under the direction of the Director of Community Education, this position is responsible for planning, promoting, organizing, and providing leadership, coordination and oversight of the school district's youth recreation programs. The successful candidate will be reliable, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a recognition, interest, and respect for the needs of the children and the community and has an emphasis in baseball, softball, football and basketball. The person hired for this position will be required to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am-4pm. Hours vary and include weekends and evenings (Full-Time) Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Leisure Services, or Park and Recreation is required for this position. Five years experience in Recreation programming and scheduling. Compensation: Salary and benefits are pursuant to the Community Education Supervisors and Coordinators Terms and Conditions of Employment starting at $52,245 to $63,777 depending upon qualifications.
