This role provides leadership, consultation, coaching, and professional development to ensure evidence-based practices are implemented effectively across the cooperative's member districts. Essential Duties Collaboration & Consultation * Guide district teams in the creation, implementation, and sustainability of MTSS and SEL programming grounded in evidence-based practices. * Provide coaching and technical assistance to schools on the implementation of evidence-based SEL, behavioral, and mental health interventions within an MTSS framework. * Assist districts in data-based decision-making, program evaluation, and the selection of assessment tools to measure SEL outcomes. * Support staff in identifying and implementing accommodations and modifications to support students' behavioral and mental health needs. * Participate in problem-solving teams and decision-making processes related to student behavior and mental health. * Collaborate with district administrators, school psychologists, counselors, and social workers to develop action plans based on student data. * Identify and disseminate best practices in MTSS and SEL across districts to enhance consistency and effectiveness. Professional Learning & Development * Design and deliver high-quality professional learning opportunities focused on MTSS, SEL, assessment, and evidence-based instruction. * Develop training materials and resources to support staff in implementing and sustaining effective MTSS and SEL frameworks. * Provide ongoing coaching and consultation to enhance staff capacity in using SEL and academic interventions effectively. * Ensure alignment of professional learning opportunities with district goals and statewide initiatives. Assessment & Data-Information Decision-Making * Support districts in using universal screening tools to identify students in need of SEL, behavior, and mental health interventions. * Guide staff in data collection and analysis for monitoring intervention effectiveness. * Assist in evaluating district-wide behavioral and mental health programming for continuous improvement. * Support the integration of behavior and mental health data within district MTSS teams. * Provide technical assistance to participating districts on the use of FastBridge and Educlimber to ensure valid and reliable data are consistently collected. Work with building contacts to organize Fastbridge data by grade level, teacher, and individual student. * Work with member district administrators to evaluate curriculum using district assessment data. Program Development & Implementation * Assist districts in aligning behavior, SEL, and mental health initiatives with the MTSS framework. * Ensure consistency and fidelity in implementing tiered behavior and mental health interventions. * Provide resources and tools to strengthen SEL and behavioral support at all levels. * Work with district leaders to align services with state and federal guidelines. * Support the transition from the discrepancy model to a needs-based approach by advocating for early intervention and evidence-based practices. * Design and deliver professional development sessions tailored to district needs. * Offer technical assistance to districts on implementing evidence-based practices in behavior, SEL, and family engagement. Other Duties * Participate in district and regional meetings related to MTSS and SEL initiatives. * Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education & Training * Minimum: Bachelor's degree in special education, school pyschology, or related field. * Preferred: Master's degree or Doctorate in special education, school psychology, social work, or behavioral analysis. Licensure/Certification * Minimum: MN Teaching Licensure in Special education * Preferred: Licensure in School Psychology, Emotional Behavioral Disorder, or Autism Spectrum Disorder. Work Experience * Minimum: Three years of experience working in a related role in education. * Preferred: Experience implementing MTSS and SEL frameworks at a district or school level.
