POSITION: K-12 Social Work or Counselor 1.0 FTE at Brandon-Evansville
Start Date: 2025/2026 school year
Qualifications:
Licensed as a School Social Worker or School Counselor
Job Summary: Responsible for providing education to K-12 students so that intellectual, emotional, developmental, and social needs are met according to the district and state standards, that will foster life-long learning and good citizenship.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Provide individual and small-group counseling to address social-emotional learning, self-regulation, coping skills, and overall well-being.
Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives tailored to student needs and plan lessons accordingly.
Track student progress and collect data for monitoring growth in social-emotional and behavioral skills.
Assist students in developing positive social interactions, conflict resolution skills, and self-advocacy strategies.
Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and conflict resolution support for students in need.
Knowledge of positive behavioral interventions.
Knowledge of group counseling techniques with children and/or youth.
Knowledge of community resources and social services.
Knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of mental health concerns.
Ability to provide competent social work services, crisis intervention, and referral services to students.
Maintaining accurate records
Participating in school improvement initiatives.
Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams.

Brandon-Evansville offers a competitive salary, starting at $47,495 and is dependent upon education and experience. Benefit package includes but is not limited to: Health Insurance, HSA, Life Insurance, TRA, 403B, Personal Leave, Sick Leave
