Responsibilities: * Assisting in leading a group of school-age youth, while providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. * Assisting in the development and implementation of developmentally appropriate activities that reflect the interests, cultures, talents, and learning styles of all students. * Helping to create a nurturing environment through positive role modeling and shared control with children using appropriate student and classroom management techniques. * Assisting with maintaining and organizing materials and classroom spaces. * Communicating clearly in a positive and respectful manner with district staff members and leadership, co-workers, students and their families. * Follow all applicable health and safety guidelines. * Must demonstrate a commitment to providing a diverse and inclusive environment where all students and their families feel welcome and safe. Preferred Experience: Working with/supervising school aged children 3-11, computer/math skills, some knowledge of the developmental needs for school age children, and the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, program leader, and parents/children. Qualifications * Age 15 + * First Aid Certification Preferred Schedule * 4-6 hours daily (dependent on enrollment). * Monday through Friday June 2, 2025 - August 22, 2025 * Potential for position to continue through the school year (pending enrollment).
