JOB DESCRIPTION: Pipestone Area Schools - Heartland Colony Elementary is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and student-centered teacher for a full-time position.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Teaching experience in an elementary school setting.
* Holds a Minnesota teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement.
* Strong classroom management skills rooted in best practices.
* Passion for working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
* Commitment to actively engaging in school culture and community initiatives.
* Collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to teamwork.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan and deliver rigorous, differentiated instruction aligned with State Standards.
* Utilize innovative teaching strategies to engage and support all learners.
* Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet learning needs.
* Establish and maintain clear expectations, routines, and procedures.
* Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Support students in developing strong social-emotional skills.
* Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and staff development.
* Attend staff meetings, committee work, parent conferences, and school events.
* Work closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality education and student success.
* Administrative & School Support
* Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
* Follow and implement district policies, initiatives, and mission.
* Support the Principal with student supervision and other duties as needed.
* Developing and delivering engaging, standards-based lessons for elementary and middle school students.
* Aligning instruction with state curriculum and district initiatives.
* Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum, and student-centered instructional strategies.
* Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Supporting student growth, character development, and academic achievement.
SUPERVISION
* Reports to the building principal.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES
* Visit the District website for current extracurricular openings.
COMPENSATION
Certified staff are compensated according to the current master agreement. Salary range is $47,000- $80,000 and benefits include health/health saving account contribution, life insurance, Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) leave days and 403B match. Voluntary benefits offered at employees cost are dental, vision, supplemental life, Long-term disability, legal shield, and AFLAC.
