Elementary Teacher - Pipestone Area Schools
JOB DESCRIPTION: Pipestone Area Schools Elementary is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and dedicated individual for a full-time elementary teaching position. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, deliver engaging lessons, and contribute to the overall success of the school community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
* Ability to obtain a valid Minnesota teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
* Experience teaching in a K-6 elementary setting preferred.
* Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum, and student-centered instructional strategies.
* Effective classroom management skills rooted in best practices and current research.
* Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels.
* Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to elementary students.
* Align instruction with state curriculum standards and district goals.
* Utilize various teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and needs.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth.
* Integrate technology and innovative instructional methods into daily lessons.
* Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student achievement.
* Implement and support district initiatives, policies, and procedures.
* Maintain accurate records, including student grades, attendance, and performance data.
* Participate in professional learning communities, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
* Engage in extracurricular activities and school community events.
* Assist in supervising students to ensure a safe and structured learning environment.
SUPERVISION
* Reports to the building principal.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES
* Visit the District website for current extracurricular openings.
COMPENSATION
* Certified staff are compensated according to the current master agreement. Salary range is $47,000- $80,000 and benefits include health/health saving account contribution, life insurance, Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) leave days and 403B match. Voluntary benefits offered at employees cost are dental, vision, supplemental life, Long-term disability, legal shield, and AFLAC.
