JOB DESCRIPTION: Pipestone Elementary is seeking an energetic and personable individual for a full-time preschool teacher position. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment, develop and deliver age-appropriate lessons, and align instruction with state curriculum standards while fostering student growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Passion for early childhood education; degree and experience in Early Childhood Education.
* Strong technology skills; familiarity with Student Information Systems is a plus.
* Effective classroom management skills based on research-based best practices.
* Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
* Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum, and student-centered instructional strategies.
* Commitment to actively participating in the Pipestone Area Schools culture and community.
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for preschool students.
* Align instruction with State Standards and district curriculum.
* Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports early learning.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
* Implement and support district initiatives, policies, and mission.
* Promote social-emotional development and school readiness skills.
* Supervise students to ensure a safe and structured learning environment.
* Participate in staff development, professional learning communities (PLCs), and school collaboration.
* Attend in-service days, staff meetings, committee work, and parent conferences.
* Work closely with administrators, colleagues, and parents to support student growth.
SUPERVISION
* Reports to the building principal.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES
* Visit the District website for current extracurricular openings.
COMPENSATION
* Certified staff are compensated according to the current master agreement. Salary range is $47,000- $80,000 and benefits include health/health saving account contribution, life insurance, Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) leave days and 403B match. Voluntary benefits offered at employees cost are dental, vision, supplemental life, Long-term disability, legal shield, and AFLAC.
