Job Overview:
As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), you will be responsible for treating patients struggling with mental, behavioral, and emotional health challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of counseling and mental health practices, as well as the ability to establish trust and build strong therapeutic relationships with students. You will assess individuals' mental health concerns, develop personalized treatment strategies, and provide targeted counseling designed to help clients achieve their mental healthcare goals. Additionally, the LPCC will stay informed on the latest methodologies in counseling and coordinate with other healthcare providers as necessary.
Salary Range: $44,500.00-$56,000.00
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
* Meet with patients to assess and diagnose mental health concerns.
* Develop and implement customized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Provide targeted counseling to support patients in overcoming personal challenges.
* Stay up to date with the latest counseling methodologies to enhance patient care.
* Refer patients to other mental healthcare professionals when appropriate.
* Foster a warm, trusting, and engaging counseling environment.
* Educate patients on coping strategies, emotional regulation, and mental wellness techniques.
* Maintain detailed, confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
* Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to support student mental health.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
* Current Minnesota LPCC licensure.
* All state-mandated certifications and licensing requirements for practice.
* Strong interpersonal skills to establish trust and encourage openness in patients.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to provide individualized and evidence-based treatment.
* Willingness to refer patients to other healthcare providers when necessary.
* Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation best practices.
* Experience in school-based counseling or working with youth populations preferred.
* Bilingual or multilingual abilities (Spanish and/or Mandarin Chinese preferred).
