Job Summary: The Student Success Specialist is responsible for the coordination and support of integrative supports/ services for students and families. The incumbent will work to eliminate the attrition of significantly at-risk students by focusing on building relationships between the school and the student/family; provides targeted support, collaboration, communication and resource assistance to help remove barriers interfering with academic achievement and personal wellness; provides specific case management in the areas of academics and chemical/mental health; aides in the creation, support and management of an individualized graduation plan including planning for post-secondary options; collects data regarding the success of the support measures in relation to student/family engagement, personal wellness and successful progress of individual graduation plan; provides outreach and education to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and licensed in ONE of the following areas: School Social Worker, School Counselor or Alcohol/Drug Counselor.
