Waconia Public Schools is looking for candidates dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to explore their passions and create their success! A fast-growing school district located near the banks of Lake Waconia and approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis, Waconia Public Schools serves approximately 4,000 students and their families from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius, and New Germany. School District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12).
Job Summary: The Dean of Students is responsible for providing administrative and support to the Principal by providing leadership and assistance in the areas of student discipline, student supervision and monitoring, and assistance with school administration programs (e.g. student orientation, team meetings, student intervention meetings, student registration, student recognition, testing, school safety and transportation issues) as delegated by the Principal.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Qualifications: A Teaching license issued from the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB), 3 years of teaching experience, and evidence of leadership at the building and/or district level are required.
Compensation: Salary and benefits pursuant to Waconia Education Associtation's Collective Bargaining Agreement from $46,146 to $91,608 depending upon qualifications.
