6-12 Special Education Teacher
Join the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley School District (WHA), a certified High Reliability School, located in the beautiful Leech Lake area of Northern Minnesota. WHA is seeking a full-time Special Education teacher, at the Elementary level with a small caseload. All Special Ed licensure positions will be considered. Minimum starting salary is $53,560.
WHA is seeking applicants with a strong understanding of students' with special education needs across categorical disabilities. Knowledge of instructional design and curriculum for students with educational disabilities; assessment and evaluation skills for meeting eligibility criteria; knowledge of due process components associated with the development, implementation and monitoring of an IEP.
Qualifications: Minnesota State License as a Special Education Teacher or ability to obtain.
