Position Summary: Healthcare Specialist serving students grades 9-12th with disabilities during the Extended School Year (ESY) program at Westwood Schools.
Essential Functions:
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to...
* administer medication;
* manage students with chronic diseases;
* maintain student health records and chart electronically;
* implement health related services on IEPs as requested by special education or other school administrators;
* follow written emergency plans and individual health plans;
* consult with other school staff as necessary to promote total health and wellness of students and staff;
* participate on the Crisis Response Team, as requested;
* participate in 3rd party billing as directed; and
* uphold confidentiality at all times regarding students and staff.
Qualifications:
* License Required: Minnesota RN or LPN license.
* Experience in...
* CPR;
* dispensing medication;
* prioritizing multiple tasks at once with strong organizational skills; and
* charting electronically.
