Position Title: Education Consultant &#8211; English Language Arts Salary Range: Education Consultant - English Language Arts, Grade 11, exempt, $61,006.37 - $85,408.91 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience (salary represented is pro-rated to 195-day salary). TRA position. Job Description Summary: Assist with the implementation of education-related services for Region V school districts. This position coordinates and leads professional development solutions at individual school sites; with an emphasis on high school english language arts and literacy across disciplines. Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Design and develop content for training courses to fill gaps in established programs, and run complex or customized training courses to improve employee performance. Involves focusing on a specific functional area. * Support in developing, designing, and improving the curriculum, select content, assess the program, and reflect. * Take part in developing and executing diverse activities for educational program evaluation. * Contribute to the management of cultural initiatives and research within the organization, providing high-quality professional services and a personal example to internal partners to support improved practices. Represent the organization's practices in a professional forum. * Organize own work schedule in order to get the job done, coordinating with support services and assigning short-term tasks to others if necessary. * Guide specific segments within coaching, implementing strategies to facilitate improvement, promoting open communication, and fostering a conducive growth environment. * Other duties as assigned. Additional Job Description Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in secondary education * Current Minnesota secondary English or Language Arts teaching license * Minimum of seven (7) years of teaching experience Preferred Qualifications * Master&#8217;s degree in elementary or secondary education * Expertise and/or experience in group facilitation * Evidence of application of current evidence-based practices * Experience with program development and coordination * Completion of one of the Minnesota state-approved literacy trainings This position is on a 195-day contract. Location: * Applicants should be located near or in the counties we serve (Region 5) and be able to commute to the office and throughout the region at least 2-3 days a week for meetings and support. * On occasion may be expected to attend meetings or trainings at Sourcewell's headquarters in Staples, MN, advance notice would be given to team member.
