ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provides direct instruction for a diverse student population that emphasizes the development of Foundational (SCANS) Skills: * Implements activities that help students to acquire appropriate workplace readiness skills, attitudes, and behaviors necessary for successful employment and lifelong learning Provides direct career and post-secondary instruction for a diverse student population that emphasizes the development of long-range career and educational plans: * Assists students in researching career pathways they are interested in and in discovering careers that match their personalities, work value, interests, and aptitudes * Works with students to establish a Personalized Learning Plan (PLP) through MCIS to help students find future success in Career, Post-secondary, and Community life * Assists students in finding information on post-secondary education and training opportunities that meet their career pathway plans Assists with the implementation of a comprehensive career education program Attends seminars, conferences, workshops and other professional development activities necessary to develop and maintain knowledge and skills Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL FACTORS: * Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, and seeing BENEFITS: We offer a comprehensive benefits package for employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
