Subject Line: Principal – Assumption Catholic School, Hibbing Job Description: Assumption Catholic School / Blessed Sacrament Church – Hibbing, MN Position Title: Principal Reports To: Pastor FLSA Status: Exempt Position Type: Full-Time Position Summary: Assumption Catholic School seeks a faith-filled and mission-driven Principal to lead our PreK–8 Catholic elementary school in Hibbing, MN. The Principal serves as a visible spiritual and educational leader, fostering a Christ-centered environment focused on academic excellence, Gospel values, and community engagement. This position is a ministry of Blessed Sacrament Parish, requiring strong collaboration with the Pastor, staff, families, and parishioners. Primary Responsibilities: * Serve as the spiritual and academic leader of the school, ensuring alignment with Catholic teachings and the mission of Blessed Sacrament Church. * Supervise instructional programs, curriculum implementation, and faith formation opportunities. * Hire, supervise, evaluate, and support faculty and staff in coordination with the Pastor. * Promote strong communication with families, staff, and parish leadership. * Develop and manage school policies, discipline procedures, and student records. * Lead school accreditation, student assessment, and curriculum review processes. * Oversee school budget planning with the Pastor and Business Manager. * Direct enrollment management, marketing, and development initiatives. * Serve as executive officer to the School Advisory Board. * Participate in Diocesan meetings, trainings, and planning efforts. Qualifications: * Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred. Commitment to the mission of Catholic education required. * Holds or is willing to work toward a valid Minnesota administrative license and/or Master's degree in Education or related field. * Experience in Catholic school teaching or leadership strongly preferred. * Proven ability to lead collaboratively, manage conflict constructively, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. * Technologically proficient, highly organized, and discreet with confidential information. * Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
